About the Role
This role is responsible for Maven’s end-to-end benefits and payments platform, including eligibility and enrollments. The ideal candidate has scaled a benefits or complex B2B2C operational product and possesses client-facing judgment to prioritize development.
Responsibilities
- Own the benefits product end to end: eligibility, enrollment, claims adjudication, payer and employer reconciliation, and provider payments
- Drive the shift from manual to programmatic reconciliation, self-serve eligibility, and automated claims to support volume growth without proportional headcount increase
- Build and enforce a triage framework for custom client requests, evaluating against platform leverage, sequencing against the core roadmap, routing to the right owner, and communicating decisions clearly
- Manage and develop a team of PMs spanning benefits, payments, and eligibility/enrollments
Requirements
- 10+ years in product with significant experience in benefits, eligibility, claims, or payer systems within a complex B2B2C or healthcare environment
- 3+ years of experience managing and mentoring PMs
- Proven track record of scaling an operational product to reliability, transforming manual and error-prone processes into quiet, high-volume operations
- Deep understanding of benefits data flow from employer configuration through eligibility verification to member activation, including common failure points
- Direct experience with claims infrastructure (submission, adjudication, remittance, reconciliation, provider payments) and identifying high-risk pipeline points
- Strong data and instrumentation skills, including funnel and reconciliation monitoring, activation analysis, and communicating outcomes to stakeholders
- Hands-on fluency with AI tools and a clear perspective on their application for enhancing benefit reliability at scale
- High ownership mentality, operating with a founder's mindset and proactively seeking direction
