About the Role
Board Intelligence is establishing a new Platform Experience team to develop web applications and APIs that power the entire platform, focusing on product engineering rather than individual product features. This role involves significant work on authentication and security, addressing complex challenges posed by large enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship web applications and APIs that underpin the Board Intelligence platform.
- Lead platform feature development, including authentication and identity, to meet enterprise client expectations.
- Collaborate directly with client IT and technology teams to understand requirements, ask pertinent questions, and provide necessary pushback.
- Develop solutions adhering to the security and data protection standards required by regulated financial services clients.
- Work across the technology stack, including Ruby, TypeScript (React), Python, and Java.
- Share knowledge with colleagues and contribute to the expertise within a critical platform area.
- Utilize AI tools like Claude Code to enhance productivity while maintaining high engineering standards.
Requirements
- Upper mid-level to senior professional software engineering experience.
- Professional experience with Ruby and at least one other programming language.
- Strong engineering foundations in system design, testing, and code quality applicable across languages and frameworks.
- Experience building and maintaining production web applications and APIs.
- Confidence in interacting with client technical teams, asking effective questions, and providing constructive pushback.
- Experience using AI coding tools in daily work with a focus on maintaining quality.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
