Responsibilities
- Procurement of goods and services in the data center environment for the US, UK, and Spain markets.
- Conducting and negotiating supplier and framework agreements with technical departments.
- Market and supplier analysis in the specified countries to identify suitable suppliers and optimization potential.
- Close collaboration and support of technical departments as needed, including beyond the specified countries.
- Management of RFP processes and supplier qualification and certification.
- Processing procurement processes through our P2P system landscape (Coupa).
- Ensuring compliance with internal purchasing guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Contributing to the continuous development of purchasing processes in an international context.
Requirements
- Completed degree (Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or similar) or comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in procurement, ideally in the data center or IT infrastructure environment.
- Sound technical and commercial expertise.
- Knowledge in the procurement of data center-specific goods (e.g., electrical/cooling technology, long-lead equipment) is advantageous.
- Market knowledge in the USA, UK, and Spain.
- Strong analytical and financial understanding.
- Experience in conducting contract negotiations.
- Practical experience with P2P systems, ideally Coupa.
- Proficient German and English language skills (written and spoken), Spanish skills are an advantage.
- Goal-oriented, independent, and solution-focused work approach.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as teamwork ability.
