About the Role
Vault is a non-bank private lending company offering a wide array of financial services. We are looking for a hard-working Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Produce cash receipt entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and account reconciliations
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledgers
- Investigate customer service & internal department queries and solve problems
- Update insurance information and cancellation in the source system
- Manage client billing and amendment updates
- Calculate monthly loan/lease payments, verify third party calculations and resolve any discrepancies
- Manage account payment histories
- Post cash receipts and payment returns in the source system
- Communicate with internal business partners to update void cheques, credits, refunds
- Terminate lease deals (buy out and default)
- Compile and distribute daily management reports
- Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- Perform other accounting duties as required by management
Requirements
- Relevant university degree or college diploma combined with two years of work experience
- Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, policies and procedures
- Detail oriented, with excellent organizational and follow up skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Ability to produce and manage daily management reporting requirements
- Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Energetic team player with ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Show a keen interest in learning and an ongoing desire to improve the timeliness and efficiency of the financial reporting processes
- Possess a strong work ethic
- Ability to juggle various projects
- Independent problem-solver who can handle making good judgments and knows what to do with minimal direction
- Well organized, very efficient, extremely resourceful, with an adaptable and positive helpful attitude
