About the Role

Join our dynamic commercial trading environment on a 24-month Graduate contract. This programme is structured to develop your skills in the foundational areas of trading through at least four rotations across the business. Build a strong understanding of our operations and develop your network to move into key commercial roles in the future.

Responsibilities

Undertake at least four rotations across the business to build a strong understanding of operations.
Gain exposure to Trading Operations, Trading Analysis, Strategy, Product Control, Shipping, Logistics, and Supply Optimisation.
Complete commercial projects or business as usual tasks during each rotation.
Be managed and supported by a dedicated supervisor and assigned mentor during each rotation.
Have performance reviewed at regular stages throughout the 24-month contract.
Upon successful completion, be considered for longer-term opportunities within the business.

Requirements

Educated to degree or masters level.
Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken).
Submit a CV (no more than two A4 pages) and a Cover Letter (no more than one A4 page) detailing interest in the programme.
If selected, be subject to further assessment and interview.
Applications may close earlier if the number of applicants exceeds the limit.

Skills

Business and Accounting, Economics, Physics, Maths, Environmental Science, Engineering, Shipping/Energy, Trade and Finance degrees may be advantageous.
Strong academic background.
Knowledge of programming languages and other technical programs such as Excel is preferable.
Ambition and determination to succeed in a competitive environment.
Ability to understand and solve complex problems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Active participation in relevant societies is viewed positively.
Appreciation of commodity trading and energy markets is viewed positively.
Proactive, inquisitive nature with the ability to work independently.
