About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Recruiter with a strong background in software and product engineering recruitment to help scale Loft Orbital's engineering teams. You will manage the full-cycle recruiting process for specialized software positions, partnering with hiring managers to attract top engineering talent in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

Own the full-cycle recruiting process—from sourcing to offer—for highly specialized software positions supporting satellite platforms, mission operations, ground systems, and product development.
Partner closely with hiring managers to identify, engage, and attract exceptional engineering talent.
Conduct phone screens, assess technical alignment, and manage candidate communication throughout the full interview lifecycle.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date pipelines in ATS tools.
Partner with hiring managers and the internal recruiting team, providing market insights and recommendations to improve hiring outcomes.
Enhance employer brand and attract niche technical talent using social platforms like LinkedIn.
Report on recruiting metrics, pipeline health, and sourcing performance.

Requirements

3+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with a strong focus on software and product engineering roles, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Demonstrated strength in proactive sourcing, including LinkedIn Recruiter, advanced Boolean search techniques, and creative approaches to engaging passive candidates.
Experience recruiting technical talent across software and product engineering disciplines, including frontend/web applications, backend services, cloud infrastructure, software integration, test infrastructure, and distributed systems.
Strong understanding of software engineering concepts and technologies, including Python, APIs, Git, Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, Linux, and cloud-based systems.
Ability to understand and translate complex technical requirements into effective sourcing strategies, including specialized areas such as mission-control and ground software, telemetry and command systems, mission planning and scheduling, payload tasking and monitoring, data routing, and automation.
Familiarity with recruiting for specialized software environments involving embedded C/C++, RTOS, secure web applications, satellite operations, flight dynamics, or AI/ML applications.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong talent pipelines for highly competitive, niche technical positions.
Ability to effectively pitch Loft’s mission, culture, and technical challenges to highly specialized, passive candidates.
Proficiency with ATS tools (Lever preferred).
Collaborative mindset and ability to partner closely with hiring managers and the internal recruiting team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
