About the Role
Monte Nido River Towns is seeking a Primary Therapist to join their multi-disciplinary treatment team. This role is crucial in providing therapeutic support to adults seeking treatment for eating disorders and exercise addiction.
Responsibilities
- Providing individual, group, and family therapy
- Serving as liaison with families and outpatient providers
- Interacting with insurance companies for pre-certification and utilization management
- Participating in discharge and aftercare planning
- Providing therapeutic meal support, while modeling a healthy relationship with food
- Providing safe, empathetic, and affirming care for each client and their unique circumstance based on the clients' intersecting identities
- Supporting virtual patient care and telehealth services as needed, including during periods of low census or to address coverage needs
Requirements
- Master’s degree in clinical counseling or related discipline, at minimum
- State license (or license-eligible) in a counseling field (e.g., Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, LPC)
- Prior experience with eating disorders and higher levels of care is helpful
- Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion practices

- Monte Nido River Towns is a residential treatment program exclusively for adults seeking treatment for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction.
- Monte Nido’s treatment approach focuses on the restoration of physiological and nutritional balance, implementation of healthy eating and exercise routines, elimination of harmful behaviors, and development of motivation and treatment engagement.
- The objective is to help each client achieve a clear understanding of their eating and/or exercise disorder and its effect on their life, as well as an individualized appreciation of what is necessary for their personal recovery.
