About the Role

Board Intelligence is seeking an experienced engineering leader to join its engineering leadership team. This role involves leading and growing a team while remaining hands-on with technical contributions to AI-powered products. The ideal candidate will be a senior individual who naturally coaches and mentors, sets high standards, and possesses broad technical knowledge with deep expertise in at least one area.

Responsibilities

Drive continuous improvements to software delivery culture and strategy as part of the engineering leadership team.
Write code and build products within a pod, staying hands-on.
Coach and mentor engineers to foster growth and contribute to clearer career paths.
Shape technical architecture and key decisions with the CTO and other engineering leaders.
Hire and develop strong engineers to support team growth.
Champion AI-assisted engineering built on solid fundamentals.
Collaborate closely with product and the wider business to deliver client needs.

Requirements

Extensive software engineering experience with a proven track record of leading engineering teams.
Hands-on technical ability with recent experience writing production code.
A track record of coaching, mentoring, and growing engineers.
Broad technical knowledge across the stack, with deep expertise in at least one area.
Strong system design and architecture skills.
Clear, confident communication and the ability to influence at all levels.
Experience using AI coding tools and an understanding of their impact on team workflows.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS company (nice to have).
Experience building for enterprise clients, ideally in regulated industries (nice to have).
Experience designing career frameworks or engineering levels (nice to have).
Experience leading remote or distributed teams (nice to have).
