About the Role

AECOM is seeking a motivated and creative Signage and Wayfinding Designer for its Dubai studio to support high-profile projects in the Middle East. This role is ideal for an emerging designer interested in signage, wayfinding, and environmental design, offering opportunities to learn and grow within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Support the signage and wayfinding team in developing wayfinding strategies, sign families, and design concepts.
Assist in preparing sign location plans, message schedules, sign type drawings, and presentation materials.
Support research, benchmarking, and analysis of user journeys, destinations, and wayfinding requirements.
Assist in developing graphic layouts, typography, pictograms, color systems, and other visual elements for signage.
Collaborate with architects, landscape designers, graphic designers, and other disciplines to coordinate wayfinding requirements.
Support the preparation and coordination of project deliverables under senior guidance.
Participate in site visits, design reviews, and workshops to understand signage materials, fabrication, and implementation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, Architecture, or a related field.
2 years of professional experience; strong graduates with relevant portfolios are encouraged to apply.
Strong interest in signage, wayfinding, environmental graphics, and user experience within the built environment.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Keyshot.
Revit or other relevant design software is an advantage.
Good visual communication, graphic design, and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new tools, processes, and technical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary design environment.
