About the Role
As a Bauleiter (m/w/d) in Berlin, you will be responsible for the construction management of multiple roof extension projects within the Berlin S-Bahn ring, coordinating closely with architects and project managers. You will create construction schedules, coordinate trades, and ensure adherence to time, cost, and quality specifications. This role offers the opportunity to manage an extensive property portfolio over the next 10 years, exclusively in Berlin, with minimal travel.
Responsibilities
- Manage construction for multiple roof extension projects within the Berlin S-Bahn ring.
- Coordinate closely with architects and project managers.
- Create construction schedules.
- Coordinate trades and ensure time, cost, and quality targets are met.
- Monitor construction progress and conduct construction acceptances.
- Communicate renovation measures to tenants, explain the construction process, and coordinate scheduling.
- Support the economic evaluation of construction measures.
- Review measurements and independently perform invoice checks for tradespeople.
- Lead in-house trade employees, coordinate their deployment across construction sites, and inspect completed work.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Civil Engineering (m/f/d), a degree as a Construction Technician (m/f/d), or a qualification as a Master Craftsman in the construction trade (m/f/d).
- Experience in the calculation and management of roof extension projects.
- Several years of experience as a Construction Manager in the renovation of existing buildings in Berlin is preferred.
- Strong communication and empathy skills when dealing with tenants in existing buildings.
- A network of tradespeople willing to accept orders within the Berlin S-Bahn ring.
- Independent and structured working style.
- A good sense for cost and quality management.
- Negotiation skills, assertiveness, and a reliable, solution-oriented approach, even in challenging situations.
