About the Role
The Senior Technical Consultant role delivers expert technical solutions and guidance to help clients maximize the value of CDW's products and services. This role is key in translating complex business requirements into practical, scalable, and efficient technical implementations, aligning technical delivery with strategic business goals to drive customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and client retention.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver implementation services across a wide range of clients and technologies.
- Act as a mentor and technical escalation point, providing expert-level knowledge in issue resolution, standards, design, and best practices.
- Collaborate with Sales, Projects Practice, Pre-Sales, Customers, and other parties as required.
- Create technical documentation as needed.
- Support and review PS Costings sheets, Low Level Designs, and Statements of Work (SoW).
- Participate in and lead project design workshops.
- Present technical documentation to customers.
- Renew/upgrade required certifications.
- Ensure assigned projects are executed and completed within agreed time, quality, scope, and cost parameters.
- Assist in the design of Proof of Concept to support solution delivery.
- Create and support the creation of test documentation and test scenarios.
- Meet or exceed personal and business objectives and set KPI targets.
- Proactively question and evaluate existing systems, standards, documentation, and procedures, making recommendations for improvement.
- Act as a coach/mentor for other coworkers.
- Perform different tasks as necessitated by changing roles and business objectives.
Requirements
- Demonstrable skills and knowledge in relevant technology area.
- Professional certifications e.g. Cisco CCDA, MS-500, MS AI102.
- Previous Professional Services / Consultancy role experience.
- Quality focused with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to provide technical leadership in their SME area.
- Ability to effectively manage own time.
- Ability to develop and build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Works well as part of a team and can be self-motivated when required.
- Continually looks for opportunities for self-improvement and innovation.
- Eligible for Security Clearance.
- Curiosity, a learner’s mindset, and a willingness to engage with ever-evolving technology and tools.
