About the Role
Liberty Global is seeking a Senior Manager, Agentic Technology to lead the adoption of AI and automation technologies within the digital workplace. This role involves identifying emerging opportunities, validating new technologies, and shaping the future direction of an AI-enabled workplace, acting as a senior individual contributor with technical depth, strategic thinking, and R&D curiosity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the exploration, evaluation, and validation of emerging AI, agentic, and workplace technologies to identify opportunities that create measurable business and employee value.
- Design, build, and test prototypes, proofs of concept, and technical experiments to assess feasibility, scalability, security, and long-term viability.
- Act as the technical authority for Microsoft 365, Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI agents, automation platforms, and adjacent technologies within the Digital Employee Experience portfolio.
- Identify and establish repeatable patterns, architecture, and engineering approaches to enable successful prototypes to evolve into enterprise-scale capabilities.
- Develop success measures and value realization frameworks for emerging AI and agentic technologies.
- Shape the future direction of Liberty Global's AI-enabled workplace by translating emerging technology trends into practical opportunities and strategic recommendations.
- Partner with engineering, security, architecture, and operations teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, supportable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Work directly with technology partners, vendors, start-ups, and industry communities to understand emerging capabilities, influence roadmaps, and identify innovation opportunities.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex challenges, acting as the escalation point for problems requiring deep expertise, cross-domain knowledge, or unconventional thinking.
- Influence technical decisions across teams through expertise, credibility, and collaboration, rather than formal organizational authority.
- Challenge existing assumptions, processes, and technology choices, bringing fresh thinking and innovative approaches to long-standing problems.
- Build business cases and recommendations for new technologies based on technical validation, adoption potential, measurable outcomes, and strategic alignment.
- Support the adoption and effective use of AI and agentic technologies through coaching, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and technical enablement activities.
- Continuously monitor developments across Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and the broader technology ecosystem, converting emerging innovation into actionable opportunities for Liberty Global.
- Help define the operating model, governance approach, and technical guardrails for agentic technologies as they mature within the organization.
Requirements
- Experience acting as a Principal Engineer, Distinguished Engineer, Lead Architect, or similarly senior technical individual contributor.
- Extensive experience in enterprise technology, digital workplace, software engineering, solution architecture, automation, or AI-focused roles.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, engineers, and technology leaders through credibility, expertise, and clear communication.
- Experience defining technology strategies, reference architectures, and technical standards without direct management responsibility.
- Ability to align technical innovation with business outcomes and strategic objectives.
- Broad technical knowledge spanning cloud platforms, security, identity, collaboration technologies, automation, APIs, and enterprise application integration.
- Deep expertise across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and related technologies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Graph, Azure AI capabilities, Power Platform, low-code development, and modern workplace integrations.
- Knowledge of other corporate systems such as HRIS, Finance, and other service platforms.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, agentic systems, automation, orchestration, large language models, knowledge grounding, enterprise integrations, and emerging workplace technologies.
- Demonstrable experience building prototypes, proofs of concept, technical experiments, and minimum viable products to validate new ideas and technologies.
- Ability to move comfortably between strategy and execution, defining long-term direction while remaining highly hands-on when required.
- Strong architectural thinking with the ability to identify scalable patterns, make pragmatic technology decisions, and balance innovation with operational reality.
- Strong security and governance awareness, ensuring innovation can be delivered responsibly within enterprise environments.
- Experience working with emerging technologies, start-ups, innovation programs, or technology incubation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of technology evaluation methodologies, experimentation frameworks, and innovation lifecycle management.
- Experience assessing technology trends and converting market developments into practical enterprise opportunities.
- Experience developing AI agents, copilots, intelligent assistants, or enterprise automation solutions.
- Familiarity with responsible AI frameworks, governance models, and enterprise AI adoption challenges.
- Naturally curious and intellectually restless, continuously exploring new technologies and ideas.
- Pragmatic innovator who balances experimentation with execution and business value.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and creating clarity where no obvious path exists.
- Collaborative and approachable, with a strong desire to help others solve difficult problems.
- Passionate about technology and motivated by discovering what comes next rather than simply maintaining what already exists.
- Highly curious and self-directed, with a passion for learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional problem-solving capability with a track record of resolving complex technical challenges that span multiple technologies, teams, or domains.
