About the Role
We are looking for a Design Director specializing in F&B or hospitality design to lead multiple projects from concept to completion. You will be client-facing, responsible for design pitches, presentations, and day-to-day project management, shaping the guest experience in hospitality venues.
Responsibilities
- Distill abstract business concepts and client needs into elegant creative solutions.
- Take responsibility for the creative vision and the standard of output across team members.
- Pitch ideas confidently and present the creative vision clearly to clients and the creative team.
- Lead and inspire the creative team through strong people management and leadership skills.
- Ensure all creative output and visuals are consistent with the overall brand.
- Lead multiple projects from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
Requirements
- A recognized interior or Architecture qualification.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as a senior level designer with Architecture/ Interior design organization, working on luxury and/or premium F&B, hospitality and Private residential projects.
- A proven track record in delivering good quality designed projects.
- Strong in team management and leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate the creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders, internal teams, and clients.
- Extensive supervisory experience leading and managing a creative team.
- Native Japanese & business-level English.
- Based in Tokyo, or ready to relocate.
