This part-time Gynecologist position at Starling Health focuses on providing outpatient GYN care and patient education to underserved populations in Bronx, NY. The role emphasizes building patient relationships, improving access to essential healthcare, and addressing critical women's health needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence-based care to support women's health and gynecological well-being.
- Conduct thorough examinations and well-woman visits.
- Accurately diagnose and manage a range of gynecological conditions.
- Order diagnostic imaging and interpret lab results.
- Consult with patients regarding reproductive health, contraception, and preventative care.
- Complete in-office procedures such as colposcopies, IUD insertions/removals, and endometrial biopsies.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of radiology, laboratory, and primary care professionals.
- Accurately document clinical encounters in eClinicalWorks.
- Comply with New York state regulations and facility policies.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of Obstetrics & Gynecology residency.
- Board certification (or eligibility) in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Current, unrestricted New York State medical license.
- Current DEA registration.
- Eligibility for credentialing with major commercial and government payers.
- Malpractice insurance.
Skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience with community health or urban/underserved patient populations
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (or similar EMR)
- Experience with Medicaid-heavy payer mix
- Performing in-office GYN procedures independently
