About the Role
Green Mountain Electric Supply is hiring a Full-Time Cable Solutions Team Member (3rd Shift) for their Kirkwood, NY branch. This role involves all aspects of wire management, including receiving, cutting, shipping, inventory, and organization, while supporting the company's growth and culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of wire management, including receiving, cutting, shipping, and inventory.
- Organize the wire room and other duties associated with product movement.
- Engage in hands-on exploration of new opportunities and collaborate with the team.
- Monitor and solicit feedback to identify improvement opportunities supporting strategic growth.
- Embrace and support GMES culture and values.
- Respool wire and cable for customer orders accurately and efficiently, minimizing scrap.
- Operate wire cutting equipment safely and effectively.
- Utilize appropriate tools for cutting wire.
- Maintain clean and organized work stations.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new ideas, designs, and business models.
- Contribute to team effort and results.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and develop plans.
- Develop knowledge through on-the-job training, technical publications, and workshops.
Requirements
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe shoes/boots.
