About the Role
Disguise is seeking a mid-level software engineer with a generalist programming background to join a small, focused team. You will write software for demanding end-users in high-stakes live production environments across film, TV, broadcast, and live events, where failure is highly visible.
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of projects, including customer projects, large features, and internal tooling.
- Build and help specify new features in collaboration with the Product team.
- Improve, support, and maintain existing product areas.
- Write testable, maintainable code with corresponding unit tests.
- Debug issues methodically using tools and logging to identify root causes.
- Provide constructive code reviews, explaining the reasoning behind suggestions.
- Collaborate closely with the Support team to ensure they understand codebase issues.
- Share knowledge of your areas of expertise with the wider team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional C++ development experience.
- Experience releasing at least one commercial software product.
- Experience working in a team environment, including code creation, review, and bug fixing.
