About the Role
This role owns the data products that make our AI models possible, including the pipelines, datasets, and tooling that transform raw clinical trial data into usable inputs for our scientists. You will work closely with engineers and model-building teams to understand their workflows, prioritize development, and ensure successful adoption of data products.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for an internal data platform area end to end, from problem definition through delivery and adoption.
- Develop a first-hand understanding of how scientific and engineering teams build models, and translate learnings into prioritized, well-specified work.
- Write clear problem statements and requirements for engineers, and make explicit tradeoffs when scope needs adjustment.
- Partner with engineering leads on technical design decisions, providing a product and user perspective.
- Define, instrument, and report on success metrics for the data platform area.
- Run the planning and prioritization rhythm for the area, keeping partner teams informed.
- Work with data directly to answer questions about usage, quality, and efficiency.
Requirements
- At least 3 years as a product manager on technical products, with meaningful time spent on data platforms, developer tools, or internal infrastructure.
- A track record of owning a product area end to end and shipping adopted products.
- Real technical depth: ability to read schemas, write queries, understand pipeline construction, and discuss design tradeoffs with engineers.
- Comfort working with messy, high-volume, highly structured data and exploring it independently.
- Clear written thinking skills to articulate problems, options, and recommendations.
- Judgment to work independently within a defined scope and recognize when collaboration is needed.
- AI native and able to incorporate AI into daily workflow.
- An owner's mindset and willingness to tackle difficult challenges.
- Passion for Unlearn's mission.
