About the Role
This role aims to enhance CN Guidance capacity for a specific grant population and new referral pathways, ensuring long-term impact beyond the grant's duration.
Responsibilities
- Provide culturally attuned outreach.
- Build community trust within the identified community.
- Support health-literacy education.
- Outreach and engage community members and leaders.
- Guide program staff on cultural norms.
- Facilitate connections between Ukraine new arrivals and behavioral-health services.
- Speak relevant language(s) (e.g., Ukrainian and Russian).
- Build a strong referral pathway of Ukraine new arrivals into behavioral healthcare.
- Document learnings specific to this target population for future staff trainings.
- Increase cultural competency and nuanced attunement of the agency across Ukraine groups.
- Be in the field, building awareness about CN Guidance's mental health, substance use treatment, and wrap-around services.
- Coach CN Guidance team members on culturally attuned outreach, trust-building, and engagement in behavioral health services.
- Identify additional eligible individuals in need of referrals and connection to services.
- Adapt outreach approaches to changing community needs.
- Provide language interpretation support in relevant language(s).
- Identify individuals who can serve as cultural brokers, liaisons, or consultants.
- Assist in building CN Guidance's capacity and cultural competence.
- Be present at community hubs attended by Ukraine new arrivals, including community events.
- Facilitate sharing of data for partnered decision-making and client progress updates.
- Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training as needed.
- Cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
