About the Role
SAIC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to perform software engineering design and development activities to produce reliable, modular, and secure software components. The role involves development on a RHEL OS platform, including custom C++ based applications, X windows-based applications, and web-based middleware. Development will also include application writing and policy for security accreditations.

- Develop software on a RHEL OS platform.
- Develop custom C++ based applications, X windows-based applications, and web-based middleware.
- Engage in application writing and policy development for security accreditations.
Requirements
- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience.
- Linux (RHEL) familiarity.
- Front-end technology experience: JavaScript, React, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, jQuery and LESS.
- Strong Web experience.
- Industry experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale systems in production.
- Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux.
- Familiarity with DBMS technology, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL.
- Basic design ability: Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design.
- Excellent understanding of low-level operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking and storage, performance, and scale.
- Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have an Active Secret Clearance to start.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance after start.
