About the Role
The Product Design Engineering position involves creating sold order designs and performing general work tasks not specifically covered under the job description.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support through design calculations and adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Create and revise CAD drawings and 3D models for project approval and in-house fabrication.
- Work with the project manager to maintain, document, and communicate project schedules.
- Communicate daily with internal and external customers.
- Create Bill of Materials.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and work with vendors and contractors.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation to track project development and design process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- CAD and Inventor experience.
- Associates degree in a relevant field with related work experience.
- Knowledge of how mechanical systems and processes work.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellence in verbal and written communication and ability to work as part of a team.
- Required to sit, stand, and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
- Continuous use of the hand, arm, and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to communicate professionally in written and oral communications.
- Travel is necessary for training purposes to Syracuse, NY.
