About the Role
SANY’s Utica Academy of Science Charter Elementary School (UASES) is seeking a Lead Elementary Teacher (Grades K-5) for the 2026/27 School Year. We offer a supportive environment for both new and experienced teachers.
Responsibilities
- Provide engaging lesson plans that conform to the charter's curriculum
- Collaborate with staff to determine charter requirements for instructional goals, objectives, and methods
- Prepare students for standardized tests relevant to the content area
- Utilize analytics and data to drive instruction and promote learning
- Accept regular feedback and accountability
- Maintain great classroom management
Requirements
- New York State Certification Required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master's degree preferred
- Fingerprint clearance through NYS Department of Education
- Experience with diverse populations or in an urban setting is a plus
- Prior teaching experience preferred
