Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured phone/video screens for entry-level and technical operational roles.
  • Assess candidate reliability, technical and gaming comfort, physical readiness, and availability for shift rotations.
  • Maintain an active candidate pipeline in the ATS, coordinate interview calendars, and extend conditional offers.
  • Lead the end-to-end new hire onboarding process, ensuring high completion rates.
  • Oversee I-9 verification, E-Verify processing, background checks, and offer letter generation.
  • Coordinate training schedules, site access, and badge readiness with onsite operations leads.
  • Audit and collect shift timesheets, break logs, and overtime records for hourly operators.
  • Manage bonus program tracking and submit payroll files to the accounting/payroll team.
  • Address employee payroll inquiries, pay stub questions, and hour discrepancies.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for day-to-day employee questions regarding attendance policies, benefits eligibility, and workplace guidelines.
  • Maintain organized, compliant digital personnel files and track probationary/90-day milestone evaluations.
  • Facilitate offboarding workflows, final pay calculations, and exit documentation in compliance with California labor standards.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of combined experience in HR Operations, People Operations, or Technical/Operational Recruiting.
  • Solid understanding of California wage-and-hour rules (meal/rest breaks, overtime calculation, paid sick leave, and final pay rules).
  • Practical experience with I-9 compliance and E-Verify processes (OPT, STEM OPT, H-1B, and student work authorizations).
  • Hands-on experience administering hourly timecards and working with payroll systems.
  • Clear, proactive communication skills with the ability to maintain meticulous documentation across fast-moving shift teams.
  • Prior experience supporting tech pilots, lab operations, manufacturing, or high-volume hourly workforce environments.
