- Independently evaluate complex renewable energy credits, project structures, operating performance, and non-routine issues.
- Review and challenge complex credit recommendations, risk ratings, covenant compliance, and exception requests, making well-supported recommendations within delegated authority.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for portfolio issues, including underperforming assets, covenant concerns, and criticized relationships.
- Lead development of risk mitigation and remediation strategies, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure portfolio management practices are consistent with Bank policy, applicable regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and industry best practices.
- Provide expert guidance on renewable energy financing structures, covenant frameworks, contractual requirements, and risk identification.
- Challenge assumptions in underwriting, operating budgets, cash flow forecasts, and portfolio management to strengthen overall credit quality and asset performance.
- Contribute to policy interpretation and recommend enhancements to credit and portfolio management standards.
- Represent the Climate PM perspective in internal credit committees, governance forums, audits, examinations, and cross-functional discussions.
- Perform independent research and analysis on renewable energy markets, regulatory developments, and portfolio performance trends.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and technical guidance to more junior portfolio managers and other team members.
- Review work product for quality, consistency, sound judgment, and appropriate consideration of credit, operational, and contractual risks.
- Support performance development by providing feedback and reinforcing expectations.
- Promote strong collaboration, accountability, and professional standards across the team.
- Identify opportunities to enhance portfolio management tools, reporting, onboarding, covenant tracking, and workflows.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, including Credit Administration, Risk, Technology, Legal, and Finance, to improve systems, reporting, and data integrity.
- Contribute to broader strategic initiatives related to climate finance, renewable energy asset performance, and risk management.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including involvement in complex new originations, portfolio transitions, and asset onboarding.

- Proven ability to exercise independent judgment on complex renewable energy transactions, operating assets, and non-routine portfolio matters.
- Experience reviewing and challenging credit or investment work, including risk assessments, covenant structures, performance trends, and exception requests.
- Experience identifying underperforming assets and developing risk mitigation or remediation plans; direct workout or criticized asset experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of loan documentation, covenant compliance, portfolio risk governance, and applicable banking and renewable energy regulatory requirements.
