About the Role
Leon’s is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at our Toronto/North York Home Office. This role offers the opportunity for future growth and advancement within the company.
Responsibilities
- Prepare in-depth monthly review of business financial results, highlighting performance of key operational initiatives and business risks/opportunities.
- Develop meaningful and innovative reporting using data to deliver insights that enhance business decisions.
- Collaborate with accounting to improve finance organization efficiency, visibility, and understanding of key financial metrics.
- Support the development and continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
- Support annual financial planning, quarterly and monthly financial forecasts, and analysis of actuals versus prior periods, plan, and/or forecasts.
- Support the development of an LFL capital plan with business cases to align future investments with strategic priorities and ensure strong returns.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to identify needs and seek business solutions.
- Manage and assist with various ad-hoc projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Accounting designation (CPA) is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial analyst role, preferably in a retail environment.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Collaborative work style, flexibility, and strong organization to meet tight timelines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment and manage multiple priorities with finesse, discretion, and confidence.
- Excellent people skills, outstanding communication skills, sound judgment, and leadership.
- Dynamic, experienced, detail-oriented individual with high energy and a positive attitude.
