About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Paraplanner to join our Financial Planning team. This role offers a great opportunity for a qualified paraplanning professional to provide high-quality technical support to Financial Planning Advisers and assist in delivering outstanding client outcomes, particularly for High Net Worth clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver high-quality suitability reports and annual review documentation for clients.
- Provide technical support to Financial Planning Advisers across a wide range of financial planning matters.
- Conduct product and technical research to support client recommendations.
- Gather, maintain, and update client information using Intelligent Office and other systems.
- Support the annual review process by providing accurate and timely information.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and third-party providers.
- Work closely with administration teams to ensure efficient client service delivery.
- Manage workflow effectively while meeting deadlines and service standards.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of paraplanning processes and best practices.
- Produce and assist with management information and reporting requirements.
- Mentor and support junior team members, sharing technical knowledge and expertise.
- Maintain compliance with FCA regulations, internal policies, and Anti-Money Laundering requirements.
Requirements
- Extensive paraplanning experience, ideally supporting High Net Worth clients.
- Strong technical understanding across all areas of financial planning.
- Experience using financial planning tools, cashflow modelling software, and research systems.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate client reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and the confidence to work independently.
- Previous experience mentoring or coaching junior colleagues.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
