About the Role
The Syracuse City School District is seeking dedicated and diverse educators to partner in moving the district toward its goals of ensuring all students graduate high school ready for college and career. This role specifically involves coaching for the STEAM High School Indoor Track team.
Responsibilities
- Coach the STEAM High School Indoor Track team at the Varsity level (Head/Assistant).
- Develop skills, discipline, enjoyment of play, competition, and dedication in student athletes.
- Stress the development of academics, goal setting, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship at the high school level.
- Prepare student athletes for higher levels of competition.
Requirements
- New York State Coaching Certification.
- Valid First Aid course.
- Valid Adult CPR certification.
- Workshop - Child Abuse Identification.
- Workshop - School Violence Intervention and Prevention.
- Workshop - Dignity For All Students Act (DASA).
- Fingerprint Clearance.
- School District Recommendation.
- Pass a fingerprint-based background check ($102.50 cost to candidate).
