As a Center Cook, you will prepare healthy and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks, ensuring children are energized and ready to learn. You will also maintain a clean and organized kitchen. Additionally, you have the opportunity to spend time in the classroom, supporting teachers and engaging in activities, fostering a warm and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare healthy and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
- Ensure children are energized and ready to learn and grow each day through proper nutrition and food safety.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly.
- Support teachers and engage in classroom activities (optional).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of food preparation experience preferred.
- ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred.
- Child and Adult Food Care Program (CACFP) experience preferred.
- Ability to work within regular operating hours.
- Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
