About the Role
The Executive Housekeeper will oversee all aspects of the hotel cleaning operations, ensuring guest rooms and common areas meet or exceed hotel, brand, and company standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and guest experience at Home2 Suites by Hilton Rochester/Greece.
Responsibilities
- Ensure departmental procedures are followed for all brand programs and execute all programs to achieve and exceed goals.
- Ensure Room Attendants/Housekeepers clean and prepare guest rooms to Springwood Hospitality and Brand Standards.
- Assist the laundry department by retrieving soiled linen, sorting laundry, utilizing industrial washers, dryers and pressers, folding and distributing cleaned linen.
- Recruit and select associates that fit the exact needs of the hotel.
- Provide training and proper orientation for all associates, new and ongoing.
- Create schedules per operating guidelines as outlined by company standards.
- Monitor labor forecast and make scheduling adjustments to meet required parameters.
- Develop, motivate, and orient all Housekeeping associates, providing ongoing direction to deliver excellent guest service.
- Ensure associates have the necessary tools and supplies to be successful.
- Conduct departmental meetings at least monthly.
- Conduct performance appraisals in a timely manner.
- Follow all job safety policies, and report any incidents and/or hazards to your direct supervisor.
- Participate in the budget process and operate within the budgeted guidelines while maintaining quality.
- Provide operational support to other departments in relation to housekeeping.
- Handle guest concerns, compliments, and suggestions in a professional manner.
- Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies at all times to protect and preserve hotel property.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
- Provide assistance to other Associates and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
