Responsibilities
- Coach student athletes in grades 7-12, emphasizing discipline, enjoyment of play, competition, and the value of hard work.
- Develop skills and participation in modified programs for grades 7-8.
- Strive for success and efficient team and individual effort at the high school level (freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity teams).
- Stress the development of academics, goal setting, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship at the high school level.
Requirements
- New York State Coaching Certification.
- Valid First Aid course.
- Valid Adult CPR certification.
- Workshop - Child Abuse Identification.
- Workshop - School Violence Intervention and Prevention.
- Workshop - Dignity For All Students Act (DASA).
- Fingerprint Clearance.
- School District Recommendation.
- Pass a fingerprint-based background check ($102.50 cost to candidate).
