About the Role

In our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS), you will advise on accounting issues related to company acquisitions, sales, and IPOs. You will work independently in international and interdisciplinary teams, combining accounting and project management expertise, and communicate directly with clients.

Responsibilities

Accompany IPOs, M&A transactions, and carve-outs for market-leading companies and advise on accounting and other topics in the transaction context.
Analyze complex accounting issues within M&A transactions and accounting due diligence.
Support the accounting representation of company acquisitions, particularly in Purchase Price Allocations (PPA) and acquisition balance sheets, as well as transaction-related GAAP changes.
Assist in preparing carve-out financial statements and combined financial statements, as well as other transaction-related financial information, and support the preparation and analysis of closing accounts for purchase price determination.
Accompany IPO processes, implement capital market-relevant accounting requirements, and support the integration of the finance function post-transactions.

Requirements

Completed degree in business administration, business informatics, or a comparable course of study.
At least two years of relevant professional experience in auditing, accounting advisory, or finance and accounting, ideally with a connection to corporate transactions.
Sound knowledge of accounting according to HGB and IFRS.
Ability to analyze complex issues structurally and communicate them understandably.
German and English language skills at least C1 level.
Willingness to travel.
Ability to maintain an overview even during dynamic project phases.
