About the Role
NEXTON is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join one of its major banking clients in Paris. The role focuses on enhancing and structuring the illustration and icon library for a transverse Design System (mobile & web) to ensure visual consistency across consumer digital products. This position is 100% operational and creative.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce vector illustrations and icons consistent with the existing visual identity.
- Strictly apply construction grids and graphic rules of the visual language (keylines, thicknesses, radii, palette).
- Integrate each asset into Figma as components, following Design System naming conventions.
- Ensure RGAA/WCAG compliance for each illustration: contrasts, readability, distinction between decorative and informative elements.
- Prepare optimized exports for developers: clean SVGs and formats suitable for iOS, Android, and web.
- Document icons and illustrations: usage, forbidden cases, minimum sizes.
- Participate in illustration comprehension tests and Design team rituals.
- Propose evolutions of the visual language within the framework set by the Lead Design.
Requirements
- Higher education in graphic design or applied arts (BAC+5).
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Graphic Designer/Illustrator, with significant experience in producing vector illustrations and iconography.
- Proven experience within a major banking client, working on consumer digital products.
- Portfolio showcasing series of illustrations or icons produced within a system (visible construction rules, consistent variations).
- Proficiency in Figma production: components, variants, variables. Illustrator is a plus.
- Experience contributing to an existing Design System for mobile and web.
- Ability to apply RGAA/WCAG accessibility standards to graphic elements.
- Comfortable in an expert contributor role under the supervision of a Lead.
- This role is not suitable for profiles seeking a Lead, Art Director, or UX-oriented Product Designer position.
