This role involves using AI to safeguard users in areas like child safety, fraud, and identity, while also defending against new threats. Responsibilities
- Drive team goals and technical direction to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Communicate complex features and systems effectively.
- Assess and develop new technologies based on industry and company trends.
- Collaborate with leaders to improve team and organizational performance.
- Identify new opportunities and influence staffing and prioritization.
- Lead long-term technical vision and roadmaps for cross-company initiatives.
- Synthesize requirements and create effective feature roadmaps.
- Resolve performance and scalability issues, and reduce technical debt.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of programming experience in a relevant language or 8+ years with a PhD.
- Experience mentoring/influencing executive stakeholders across organizations.
- Experience using data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide solutions.
- Experience driving large cross-functional, industry-wide engineering efforts.
- Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions.
- Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmaps where short-term projects align with the long-term mission.
