About the Role
Akaysha Energy is seeking a Risk and Insurance expert to join their Legal, Risk and Compliance team. This role will own the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, business resilience planning, and the global insurance program, while driving a risk-aware culture. The company is a leader in the energy transition, building, owning, and operating renewable energy assets.
Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve Akaysha’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework, embedding a strong risk culture across the business.
- Drive business resilience planning, including incident management and business continuity programs that support operational readiness.
- Own Akaysha’s global insurance strategy and portfolio, ensuring effective, commercially sound coverage across corporate and project activities.
- Partner with brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders to manage renewals, claims, policy placement and contractual risk exposures.
- Provide strategic risk and insurance reporting, advice and training across Akaysha.
Requirements
- Build trust across the business by providing advice that balances risk management with commercial outcomes.
- Influence stakeholders at all levels, translating complex risk and insurance concepts into clear and actionable recommendations.
- Foster a proactive, risk-aware culture that strengthens decision-making and organisational resilience.
- Bring a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to strengthen governance, processes and insurance program effectiveness.
