About the Role
Barnard seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Cognitive Science and Computer Science, focusing on the intersection of Human Cognition and Artificial Intelligence. The role involves research and teaching to advance understanding of the mind and develop ethically designed AI systems, contributing to both the Cognitive Science Program and Computer Science Department.
Responsibilities
- Engage in teaching, research, curriculum and program development, undergraduate advising, and mentoring of undergraduate research.
- Collaborate with faculty and students across Barnard College and Columbia University.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Cognitive Science or a related discipline.
- Promising research agenda and record of scholarship.
- Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching, mentoring, and increasing participation in cognitive science and/or computer science.
