- Coordinate seamlessly with Front Desk and Guest Services teams regarding guest scheduling, room entries, and arrival/departure coordination.
- Collaborate with Food & Beverage and banqueting teams to ensure kitchen equipment, refrigeration, and dining venue facilities operate flawlessly.
- Maintain a team-first mindset and assist colleagues across departments during operational peaks or unforeseen facility challenges.
- Comply strictly with NYC building codes, fire life safety protocols, OSHA standards, and hotel emergency procedures.
- Safely manage chemical handling, lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, and PPE standards.
- Perform other operational or property-related duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
Requirements

- Demonstrated competency across plumbing, basic electrical, HVAC air-handling/controls, carpentry, and finish repair.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical guests and colleagues.
- Comfortable utilizing mobile tablets/smartphones for digital dispatch systems, maintenance tracking software, and email communications.
- Proven ability to learn quickly, troubleshoot under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain professional composure in high-expectation environments.
- Ability to climb ladders, walk and stand for extended periods, and routinely lift 25 to 50 lbs safely.
- Every interaction reflects the refined culture of Elysée New York; maintenance tasks performed neatly, quietly, and with minimal guest disturbance.
