About the Role
As a Data Scientist within the OTT Data Science & Optimisation team, you will partner with stakeholders across the UK, Italy, and Ireland to leverage data, machine learning, and AI to enhance customer experiences and drive commercial growth for Sky's streaming services. You will work on high-impact initiatives related to customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and personalization, utilizing large-scale behavioral data, experimentation, advanced analytics, and predictive modeling.
Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across Group territories and understand business objectives.
- Translate business requirements into impactful data science solutions.
- Identify commercial opportunities through data analysis and predictive modeling.
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and predictive analytics solutions.
- Develop, refine, and scale data science procedures, frameworks, and best practices.
- Identify and apply AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI techniques to enhance workflows and business processes.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience applying statistical, machine learning, and optimisation techniques to solve complex business problems.
- Programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience working with large-scale customer, transactional, or behavioural datasets using cloud data platforms and distributed processing technologies.
- A positive, can-do attitude and adaptability to work with quickly evolving objectives.
- Ability to communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
- High levels of logical thinking and problem-solving.
- Ability to address complex problems using innovative and industry-leading techniques.
