About the Role

This senior UX design role focuses on Customer Growth, partnering with Product to define strategy and own end-to-end user journeys. The position offers significant ownership and the opportunity to solve complex product challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product to define strategy and manage stakeholders across teams and journeys.

  • Translate problem framing into high-fidelity prototypes and specifications, focusing on complex user flows.
  • Improve the visual hierarchy and clarity of dense user interfaces.
  • Utilize AI tools (e.g., Claude) throughout the design process to create testable prototypes rapidly.
  • Validate AI-generated outputs and take ownership of final UX decisions.
  • Transform vague requests into clearly defined problems, aligning Product and Engineering on design direction.
  • Identify and differentiate between real and assumed constraints, involving Engineering early in the design process.
  • Conduct lightweight usability testing and user interviews independently.
  • Collaborate with the Research team on foundational user studies.
  • Translate research findings into actionable product improvements, advocating for the customer's voice.
  • Contribute design system patterns (Horizon) including states, variants, accessibility notes, and rationale.
  • Drive adoption of design system components across teams to promote faster development on shared standards.
  • Contribute to the design of testing methodologies, including defining hypotheses, key metrics, and success criteria.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Product/UX design experience.
  • Portfolio showcasing end-to-end ownership of complex, multi-step digital products.
  • At least one project demonstrating material use of AI in the design workflow.
  • Comfortable designing across multiple platforms: web, iOS, and Android.
  • Proficiency in using AI tools across the design lifecycle, with the ability to document generated content, overrides, and identified errors.
  • Experience thriving in an experimentation culture, forming hypotheses before shipping, and understanding guardrail metrics.
  • Ability to define the most impactful problems to solve and align partners on design direction.
  • Skill in influencing stakeholders through demonstrations, evidence, and strategic timing.
  • Capacity to lose an argument constructively and return with improved evidence.
  • Experience designing for edge cases, including screen readers, low connectivity, and high-stress scenarios.
  • Ability to identify and address accessibility issues in others' work during critiques.
  • Deep fluency in Figma, with a native understanding of tokens, variants, and component architecture for scalable design decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with remote partners across different time zones, document progress, and drive projects forward asynchronously.
  • A relentless advocate for the customer, ensuring their needs influence product delivery.
  • Demonstrated history of embodying Priceline's values: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability, and Trust.
  • Unquestionable integrity and ethics.
