About the Role
The Golang Engineering role plays a critical part in connecting Grocery Partners with the Just Eat Takeaway platform. We are looking for engineers to take our integration platform to the next level whilst maintaining core functionality on which thousands of our partners depend. This is a mid-level role with a clear route to senior.
Responsibilities
- Build new features in Golang
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help move the platform forward
- Support product and delivery teams
- Learn from senior engineers, and share what you pick up with the team
Requirements
- 1+ year of production Go experience, or 2+ years in another modern backend language with evidence of ability to learn Go quickly
- Solid Go fundamentals: concurrency, error handling and interfaces
- Microservice and event-driven design experience
- Experience building and running at least one production service end-to-end, including monitoring and fixing issues
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Curiosity and ownership
- Great communication skills
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools
- Pair programming experience
- Experience with Kubernetes or another container platform is a plus
