About the Role
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Northwest Covington campus is seeking an Associate Instructor for the Practical Nursing program. This full-time role supports evening cohorts and requires a strong background in nursing education and clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Develop course of study and conduct training programs utilizing ATI, D2L, and other platforms.
- Confer with administration regarding policy, procedure, and technology changes.
- Formulate teaching outlines and determine instructional methods.
- Select or develop teaching aids and reference materials.
- Assist other PN instructors with lectures and clinicals.
- Provide tutoring to nursing students.
- Maintain student records and reports.
- Manage student placement and follow-up.
- Cooperate with outside agencies and advisory committees.
- Participate in student recruitment.
- Supervise students' clinical experiences in various healthcare settings.
- Actively seek potential clinical sites for training.
- Adhere to all Board of Nursing and TCAT Northwest requirements.
Requirements
- Must hold active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee with no disciplinary actions.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of successful recent employment experience in the specialty area to be taught beyond the normal learning period.
- Must possess the organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective instructor.
- Must have the ability to interact with adult students.
- Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality.
- Must possess computer skills.
- Must have at least three years' current clinical experience.
