About the Role

The Fund Financial Reporting Department is seeking an Analyst for a 1-month contract. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial, statistical, and portfolio information for various Mackenzie and IG managed funds, working independently under the guidance of a Senior Analyst or Manager.

Responsibilities

Prepare interim and annual financial statements and management reports of fund performance (MRFP) for mutual funds and pooled funds.
Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all data for fund financial statements and MRFPs within regulatory timelines.
Coordinate with a desktop vendor for the creation of final PDF documents, ensuring accurate implementation of data, table, and chart changes.
Meet all internal and regulatory deadlines.
Manage the version control process for financial statement and MRFP drafts in both soft and hard copy.
Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

Enrollment in the CPA program is preferred.
Demonstrated auditing or accounting experience in the investment fund industry is an asset.
Familiarity with financial instruments, including various derivatives.
Familiarity with both mutual fund trusts and mutual fund corporations.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Working knowledge of generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Google Gemini) to support productivity and analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
