About the Role
GeoDelphi, Inc. dba Whitespace is seeking a dynamic and innovative Software Engineer to build cutting-edge solutions within our Iris platform. You will be essential to the digital offering, working in the ‘engine layer’ to discover the ground truth. You will collaborate with a team of engineers and developers designing tools to provide technical solutions to complex questions. The ideal candidate is creative, a problem solver, developer, designer, and appreciates delivering high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain application phases.
- Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle.
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
- Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
- Recommend changes to improve established application processes.
- Prepare and produce releases of software components.
- Develop application code programs.
- Develop and execute unit test plans.
- Support formal testing and resolve test defects.
- Provide technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure questions.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a software engineering role.
- Expert with at least one language and good experience with several others (Python, React, Java, etc.).
- Experience with public clouds such as AWS, Google, Rackspace.
- Experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production software.
- Strong coding abilities emphasizing quality and testability.
- Strong understanding of DevOps and software/application development processes.
- Demonstrated experience with continuous integration and software CM processes/tools (GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Nexus, and other DevOps/Continuous Integration tools).
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
- Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within small teams.
- Active TS/SCI or eligibility to be cleared.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must reside in the contiguous United States.
- Must be a W2 employee of GeoDelphi, Inc.
