About the Role
This position is responsible for performing repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, ranging from preventive maintenance to a Master Tech level. The role involves diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Responsibilities
- Perform chassis component repair and maintenance.
- Repair refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems, as well as air and hydraulic braking systems.
- Conduct engine repair and maintenance.
- Service suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
- Perform heating and air conditioning repairs.
- Execute air brake repair and maintenance.
- Provide road service to return equipment to operation safely and efficiently.
- Identify malfunctions using various electronic tools.
- Complete applicable company training programs.
- Maintain a clean and professional work area.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior experience with or knowledge of maintenance work on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships.
- Valid Driver's License; CDL preferred.
- Diesel Technical Training preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to work well as a team member and independently.
- Ability to work efficiently and maximize productivity.
