About the Role
Core is the heart of the MaintainX CMMS, focusing on work orders, planning, scheduling, inventory, parts, reporting, and asset hierarchy. This area is receiving new investment, with teams building a Work Execution Platform and a rebuilt Technician Experience. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with customer-facing features and have green-field ownership.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve customer workflows, including scheduling, parts management, and reporting.
- Solve complex product challenges such as dense, data-heavy interfaces, large datasets, offline behavior, and multi-site scaling.
- Shape architecture and engineering practices from the ground up on newly formed teams.
- Create simple user experiences for complex workflows on both desktop and mobile.
- Ship features end-to-end, from planning through production.
- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to influence team roadmaps.
- Own the long-term health of a feature area or system, including reliability and performance.
- Review code and mentor other developers.
- Improve tooling, testing, and delivery practices.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience building full-stack web or mobile products.
- Deep hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Experience with mobile-first, responsive, iterative development.
- A track record of writing maintainable, testable code.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort making progress on problems before specifications are fully settled.
- Daily use of AI tools in development workflow.
- Experience with scheduling or calendar UIs is valued.
- Experience with data-heavy front ends is valued.
- Experience with offline-first or sync architectures is valued.
- Experience with multi-tenant or enterprise platforms is valued.
- Experience with workflow engines is valued.
- Experience with inventory and transactional systems is valued.
