About the Role
As an integration specialist for operational technology (OT), you will demonstrate how MaintainX connects to systems that run industrial machinery, including OT data connectors for Ignition, Kepware, and MQTT, and wireless vibration. You will be the go-to person for deals involving SCADA or historian layers.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical story for deals requiring machine, sensor, and control system connections to MaintainX.
- Conduct OT discovery with operations and controls teams to map data sources to connectors.
- Demo OT connectors live using prospect's equipment and data.
- Scope integrations with Implementation and Professional Services.
- Partner with Solutions Architects on custom OT work and provide technical briefs.
- Log recurring integration requests as product feedback to influence the connector roadmap.
- Work daily with cross-functional teams including Sales, Solutions Architects, Implementation, Product, and R&D.
- Coach sellers on when to involve you in deals.
- Manage and support a customer portfolio primarily in English-speaking markets (US/English Canada).
- Communicate daily in English with customers verbally and in writing.
- Travel for customer on-sites.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role (solutions consulting, pre-sales engineering, implementation, integrations, or similar).
- Real exposure to manufacturing or industrial operations and plant floor workflows.
- Experience designing or supporting API-based integrations, data workflows, or automation.
- Working knowledge of OT data sources (SCADA, historians, PLCs, industrial gateways).
- Ability to explain data flows to both operations managers and IT leads.
- Experience managing multiple evaluations simultaneously while maintaining technical accuracy.
