About the Role
Join a product-focused engineering environment responsible for building and optimizing public-facing digital experiences used at meaningful scale. This team values strong engineering fundamentals, performance-minded development, and thoughtful design decisions centered on the end user. Senior engineers are expected to contribute immediately, communicate clearly, and bring proven experience delivering reliable, high-performance web applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance scalable public-facing web applications using React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Develop responsive experiences with a strong focus on page-load speed, runtime performance, and usability across web and mobile.
- Build and maintain APIs and application services, including GraphQL-based integrations.
- Make technical and design decisions with the end user's experience in mind.
- Contribute to content-driven web experiences and CMS integrations.
- Work across JavaScript frameworks, SQL, and supporting technologies to deliver reliable end-to-end solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with the depth expected of a senior-level engineer.
- Proven hands-on expertise with React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Familiarity with GraphQL and the ability to work effectively with GraphQL APIs.
- Demonstrated experience developing public-facing, high-traffic websites or web applications.
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization, including page-load and mobile performance considerations.
- Experience building products with end-user experience, design, and content in mind.
- CMS experience is valued, with Storyblok particularly relevant.
- Strong JavaScript fundamentals and experience with modern web frameworks.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Able to hit the ground running with limited training or hand-holding.
- Clear and articulate communicator who can give direct, specific answers about technical decisions, personal ownership, and outcomes.
