About the Role
This customer-facing role involves transforming client security on Microsoft platforms through designing and implementing on-premise and cloud-based Microsoft Security technologies. You will advise and deliver cloud security solutions using the Microsoft Security product stack, working with enterprise-level customers to secure multi-platform cloud environments. This position offers opportunities to learn and advance subject matter expertise in a fast-paced industry, fostering relationships with product engineers and enabling preview features for clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and build Microsoft security reference architectures for public, private, and hybrid cloud systems.
- Lead technical discussions to align client security strategy with business goals.
- Advise customers to accelerate cloud security efforts.
- Deliver technical reviews of cloud security architecture against strategic cloud security frameworks.
- Elevate less experienced colleagues to become proficient cloud security professionals.
- Continuously develop skills and research platforms to provide best practice solutions.
- Co-lead multiple engagement delivery parts with project owners.
- Support clients migrating from non-Microsoft technologies to Defender XDR solutions, including Office 365 changes.
- Implement cloud-based Identity Management with Entra ID.
- Support the development of managed services using Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, PowerShell, Terraform, Logic Apps, and Microsoft business apps.
- Perform discovery, analysis, design, build, test, and deployment of Microsoft Identity Management solutions.
- Guide customers on zero trust and SASE concepts, identifying implementation paths and technical gaps.
- Develop and deliver user stories and use cases.
- Produce technical requirements and identify related business benefits with interdependent engineers and solution architects.
- Convey information to customers, lead meetings, and provide actionable write-ups.
- Apply structured thinking to resolve project challenges by simplifying complex problems.
- Consistently deliver quality within expected timeframes and on budget.
Requirements
- Proven experience and deep understanding of Microsoft Identity Management / IAM.
- Strong foundation across the Microsoft Security solution stack, including on-premise, endpoint, and Azure-based solutions.
- Experience and subject matter expertise in Microsoft Azure scoping and specification.
- Knowledge of secure development practices.
- Knowledge of security standards like CIS, NIST, and GDPR.
- Demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment.
- Ability to understand secure API capabilities for multi-vendor integration projects.
- Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and multi-task.
- Experience with Microsoft, Google, and Amazon cloud environments.
- Deployment experience of Microsoft 365 including Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Purview (Data Loss Prevention, Sensitivity Labels, Insider Risk), Microsoft Defender XDR (Endpoint, Identity Cloud App, Office and Microsoft Sentinel), and Exchange Online.
