About the Role
Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is seeking an Automation Product Manager, Japan to lead market strategy, portfolio growth, and commercialization planning for the Automation portfolio in Japan. This role is part of the Japan Marketing team, based in Tokyo, Japan, and is a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Lead market assessment, customer segmentation, competitive analysis, positioning, and marketing strategy development for the Automation portfolio in Japan to identify growth opportunities and support business planning.
- Create and execute launch plans for new products and applications while driving the successful commercialization of the Automation portfolio in collaboration with global product management teams.
- Drive business performance through market analysis, competitive assessment, customer insights, forecasting, pricing strategy, and portfolio management.
- Represent the voice of the customer and advocate for Japan market requirements through close partnership with global stakeholders to influence product roadmap and business strategy.
- Partner with Commercial Marketing by providing customer insights, market intelligence, positioning, and value propositions to support demand generation and commercialization activities.
- Develop and deliver product, application, and commercial training programs that enable sales teams and channel partners to succeed.
- Partner effectively with Sales, Field Applications, Service, Commercial Marketing, RA/QA, Supply Chain, and Global Business Units to achieve business objectives and customer success.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- 5+ years of product management or product marketing experience within the life sciences industry.
- Experience developing and executing marketing strategies, market development initiatives, and go-to-market plans for scientific instruments, automation solutions, or related technologies, with the ability to understand customer research workflows and scientific applications.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize market, financial, and commercial data to drive business decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Ability to travel up to 10-15% domestically and internationally as required.
