About the Role
As a Sr. R&D Engineer at Pall Corporation, you will drive innovation in advanced filtration projects, delivering differentiated product performance and custom solutions. This role is crucial for developing next-generation separation and purification solutions within the growing Central R&D organization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and engage in New Product Development (NPD) of advanced filtration projects.
- Drive innovation cross-functionally to deliver differentiated product performance with custom solutions.
- Engage with the Energy+ business unit to ensure technical and strategy alignment.
- Apply technical background, especially related to fluid-flow, strength of materials, and structural-mechanical design for liquid and gas filtration technologies.
- Design, analyze, and engineer new products with differentiated performance improvements using standard tools, engineering software, design calculations, and best-known methods.
- Contribute to the entire value chain of filtration technology design, focusing on design, modeling, prototyping, testing, and analysis.
- Strive to be a subject matter expert in design, model, prototype, test, and analysis for targeted applications.
- Mentor fresh graduates and new talent to adopt subject matter expertise.
- Lead innovation and develop new technologies, building new ideas that enable New Product Development.
- Contribute to Pall’s valuable Intellectual Property (IP).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or materials engineering.
- At least 5+ years of experience in R&D/product development and/or design engineering.
- Experience in dynamic flow testing and analysis.
- Experience/Technical background in system design for filtration technology is highly preferred.
- Technical background related to filtration technology for liquid/gas separation and purification is desirable.
- Technical skills in macro- and micro-fluid flow, structural mechanics, design to engineering, finite element methods, and/or process modeling is desirable.
