Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned accounting areas, including operating costs, cash transactions, payroll, share-based compensation, and fixed/intangible assets.
- Own the accounting, close, and controls for assigned areas.
- Develop a strong understanding of underlying data and processes.
- Utilize AI and automation to improve quality, efficiency, and scalability.
- Own key month-end and quarter-end accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.
- Work with cash transactions and large accounting datasets, using analytical and AI-enabled tools to identify and investigate exceptions.
- Analyze balance sheet and P&L movements, identify root causes of unexpected results, and provide clear commentary.
- Develop a strong understanding of business activity, data, and systems.
- Research accounting treatment for unfamiliar transactions under U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare supporting schedules, financial reporting, and SEC disclosures.
- Perform ICFR and SOX controls with high-quality documentation.
- Drive problem resolution across Finance and the wider business to improve upstream data, processes, and controls.
- Support audit, tax, and compliance requirements.
- Experiment with new AI and automation tools to improve accounting processes.
- Maintain appropriate human judgment, governance, and controls when using AI and automation.
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant accounting or audit experience.
- ACA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity.
- Ability to work through ambiguity and investigate large or complex datasets.
- High ownership, resilience, and bias for action.
- Comfortable taking initiative and learning quickly.
- High standards for accuracy and execution.

- Strong understanding of audit, ICFR, and SOX requirements.
- Experience working effectively with internal and external auditors.
- Ability to learn quickly and collaborate constructively with a global, cross-functional team.
- Experience in a leading professional services firm and/or a U.S. public company, including exposure to SEC reporting and SOX.
- Experience in digital assets, payments, FinTech, technology, or financial services industry.
- Understanding of blockchain technology and digital assets is a plus.
- Experience in one or more areas such as operating costs, payroll, share-based compensation, fixed assets, internally developed intangible assets, or lease accounting.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion or another large-scale ERP.
- Practical experience with analytical, AI, or automation tools.
