About the Role
Adyen is seeking a structured, proactive, and collaborative Senior Digital Designer to join our Global Marketing team in Amsterdam. This role focuses on shaping digital experiences, particularly our website, by delivering templates and components aligned with our website design system to optimize demand generation, capture, and engagement on adyen.com.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality designs for digital experiences, adhering to brand and design guidelines and our design system.
- Conceptualize and create responsive designs for adyen.com.
- Assess work feasibility by collaborating with engineering, balancing design system reuse with new element creation.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently through all design stages, from inception to delivery.
- Ensure project timelines and quality standards are met through ownership and accountability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product management, development) for alignment and successful outcomes.
- Proactively identify and address project challenges, seeking solutions to maintain focus on goals.
- Create and maintain scalable design systems, templates, and asset libraries.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and navigate challenging conversations effectively.
- Coach colleagues and guide external parties (freelancers & agencies) to create on-brand assets.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience as a digital designer.
- Agency and B2B experience are a plus.
- Proficiency in UI, UX, and design systems for commercial website development.
- Highly proficient in Figma and Adobe CC.
- Comfortable using (AI) technologies for design scaling and optimization.
- Logical, data-driven approach to design with scalability in mind.
- Portfolio includes component and systems work, responsive design, and success metrics.
- Team player with an all-hands-on-deck approach in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to self-start, meet deadlines, and drive projects forward.
- Open to iteration and feedback.
- Full professional proficiency (written and verbal) in English.
- Some domestic and international travel is required.
